Paris of the Middle East, at one time. Hope it does reclaim all its former glory and stature. It is a place with a glorious history, with much of its recent news unfortunately not good.

I was today years old when I learned of Ragusa. I was only familiar with the Sicilian city of the same name, which still exists today.
