Category Elimination - Words #1
In each group, name any answer which matches the first category to reveal the second category, then name any answer which applies to both categories to reveal a third, and so on.
I have fixed the type-ins now so that exact answers are required. (Although because there's so many options, you may get an answer accepted before you expected to)
Great quiz! The first one was slow and thought "no way I'll finish this in 3 min", but my brain must have flipped a switch as it seemed easier after that. :-)
Stewart, I think you could change the last green clue to read "which ends in "-a" to make it a little more challenging. Reading down, people already know the two vowels are the same, and it makes it somewhat harder to start from the bottom and go up. Fun quiz though!
slamming is most definitely a leisure activity. Slamming can be injecting drugs into your system or two people banging loud enough for neighbors to hear...lol
For the green category, once the second clue came up ("...which contains exactly two vowels"), I tried "any" because I saw it in the clue above, and it's a valid word. However, the quiz didn't acknowledge it as a valid answer, supposedly because it didn't accept the "Y" as a vowel. I tested "icy" afterwards to see if that worked, and I got the same problem. I strongly encourage adding words that use "Y" as a vowel for that particular clue, since they do still follow the rules.
I can't believe what i just did: I wrote swimming as the first one (1/2068) and it was right for all. Then I wrote zebra (1/435) and it was the one right
Gosh, sometimes the snarkiness of people so full of themselves on this website gets tiring.
