I *rarely* rate quizzes 5 stars – I feel like that should be saved for the really special, inventive ones – but you, JoshPen, definitely earned it with this one! (Bonus points for the cheeky explanation on how it is clearly a geography chain!) I look forward to your rolling out all the other letters of the alphabet ;-)

The question about extremely low population density made it twice as difficult alone. I was trying to think of some state or province or territory.

I didn't get it either but I thought it was a great question. Why should the non-permanent inhabitants not count? At any given time there are around a thousand people living there.

This really shouldn't be considered a Geography "chain" quiz when every answer is said to end in "A". You spoiled the fun of a true "chain" quiz in the title.

To be fair, I only know UK cities by television exports. Doc Martin is in Port Isaac in Cornwall, Call the Midwife is in London, George Gently was in Newcastle, Shameless was Manchester, Last Tango in Halifax was in Halifax and Harrogate, Raised by Wolves was in Wolverhampton, etc. The BBC and ITV have taught me UK geography and regional accents.

Well it is arguably the most popular golf tournament in the world (one of the 4 majors and considered by many to be the best of the 4.) Just because you don't know it doesn't mean others don't. It's OK to learn new things.

Istanbul is on the Bosphorus Strait, which connects the Marmara and Black Seas. The Marmara sea connects the Mediterranean to the Bosphorus Strait. Apparently, the Mediterranean does not conquer the Marmara Sea. So, Istanbul does not border the Mediterranean
