"TED" works with a few different words, perhaps switch that one out for another one?

Yikes, so it does. What an oversight. Fixed, thanks!

You've been very helpful on this and the other quiz. Username checks out :)

You can also make cor/date and rear/rest so might need to switch those up as well.

Great quizzes!

Was familiar with chordate, but not cordate. Good vocab add.

Rearward is a word but I knew it wasn't what you were going for.

I now understand that the hint begins the word, but was confused when amidst was not accepted.

When I saw "Ram" I was so excited to put in "Shackle". Very disappointed. Seriously, though, great series.

I was brought up on the E side of the Atlantic and never heard of Worrywart before. Is this a word prevalent only on the W?

Hmm yep, apparently it’s a North American thing. I’m and East Sider too though and have heard it before. Didn’t realise it was American, though I guess I’ve heard it from American media or the internet.

Not just a NAm thing - I was brought up around the SE corner of Australia and definitely heard it as a standard part of vernacular here.

It’s novela in Spanish. I made the same mistake. I think I hear about telenovelas more than novellas.

This caught me out as well, it is such a normal word for a motorcyclist, I didn't think twice about selecting it.

If you are sufficiently science-minded MA+LATE=Malate, which is a word.

I was debating as a biochemist whether to reply with the same comment. I suppose the argument is that -YO wouldn't work with anything else, so we should be able to deduce it can't be MALATE, but I still went for it instinctively since MAL- was presented early. Regardless, I'm glad to see another scientifically motivated mind thought this too :)

it was tough, needed nearly 4 minutes ( but not too tough, I just kept skipping when it didnt immediatrely came to me, so I went around several times). Got them all in the end.

Never heard of blotto though
