There should really only be one answer one this quiz as there is only one American country.

relessness, you've made 1000 quizzes (!), congrats by the way, and never let your name slip? :-) But I'll go with the CIA answer too.

Reless's real name is Leslie. And no, I wasn't playing. The newfangled and politically motivated use of the adjective American to refer to everything from the Americas is unusual and confusing.

It's only unusual and confusing within narrow-minded minds.

It is unusual and in some contexts confusing whether or not you have any prejudices. But clearly there wasn't just going to be one answer to this quiz. You could argue that the meaning was clear in this case or that it should be changed to "All countries of the Americas by shape".

I guess if "American" can mean everything from the Americas then "narrow-minded mind(redundant?)" can mean accepting and accurately describing reality; sure, why not?

The continent was called America way before your country was born and eventually appropiated the name. Typical US ignorant nationalism.

The irony is the person the U.S.A. is named after was an Italian explorer who never even came to the U.S.A.

I wonder how many people would get France if it was included and to scale the same way Ecuador is with the inclusion of the Galapagos.

If you have the Galapagos for Ecuador, you should have Hawaii and Alaska for the USA too.

The learning process would benefit if the order of the countries changed each time one took the test. Plus, it would make it more challenging.
