My new favourite quiz. Much prefer the map which I can see to the list of cities I don't bother scrolling down to. I have them all memorised in a paint the map order, like the countries of the world. Good to see it working!

Jesus, 120 out of 196, near constant typing for the duration of the quiz and I get ONE point. Either people who take this are fantastically quick at typing with all 196 calitals commited to memory, they cheat, or I am the worlds slowest ever typer. Average score is 136!? Has the time changed and the average relates to the older time allowance?

I think many have already memorized/learned them all from the other world capital maps out there. Finally, there's a way for us visual learners to master them.

There are a lot of very good typists on this site. And I would also say regulars know all countries and capitals of the world back to front. Put those two together and some averages become high quickly.

Also tablet/phone or laptop/pc makes a huge difference. Things I can do in 12 mins on my laptop I need about15 mins for on my tablet. It types way slower plus nearly a quarter of the words gets a typo unless I am even more slow. So a lot of going back and fixing the words (sometimes trying to fix the same word 3 times in a row)

Awesome quiz! This is kind of what I wanted to do with my quiz here: https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/104324/world-countries-and-capitals-strict-spelling.

Except the countries and the capitals would be selected separately and "light up" on the map accordingly. I couldn't figure out how to build the SVG map though so I just gave up on the map.

How did you figure out how to build your SVG map? Did you already have the background knowledge necessary?

I tried to follow the instructions from the blog entry on this site, but there's something I'm not doing right and I don't know what.

I got just over 100, which for this site is rather bad I guess, but I never studied them or put any effort in trying to learn them. So I am still pretty proud. If you go out in the street most people wouldnt even be able to name a 100 countries. I can name all of them (now, thanks to this site, because I think I was about 15 short before), which I know, means nothing here, but still personally proud, happy I know them all.

Kind of weird how few people know all the countries of this planet, but they can name you hundreds of musicians or other famous people (and in depth stuff about their private life, like what they like for breakfast)

I agree with the comments about the dots... This is basically the countries of the world quiz with the type-ins being the capital instead of the country name. It would "play" better if it worked just like the countries of the world quiz --- remove the dots and replace them with the "show missing countries" checkbox, where when checked, the dots disappear when the capital/country is guessed.
