Isn't Antarctica the driest dessert in the world? Atacama is definitely driest in the Americas, but that's not what the clue says.

Should accept 'Austen' for Austin.

Level 73
Jan 21, 2015
Why? "en" is not an alternate spelling for Austin, Texas, since it's named after Stephen F. Austin (still an "in").

Anti-US bias seems to come from a lot of posters to a lot of different quizzes. The United States of America is not only the most populous nation on either continent, it also has the highest GDP, is the center of entertainment, culture, news, p and finance not just in the continent but probably the world. The USA has just shy of the same number of people (320 + million) as the second and third most populous nations in the two continents (Brazil at 203 + million and Mexico at 120 +) combined.

I am an American, although I am against the most extreme expressions of "American Exceptionalism," and find the constant pandering of politician - who say America is not only the greatest nation in the world today, but the greatest in the history of mankind - to be revolting. The USA has done and continues to do many bad things, just as all nations do. No nation or human being is even close to perfect, but those who carry a chip on their shoulder regarding America need to get over themselves.

Report from yesterday states that Dubai is the busiest airport in the world, followed by London - Heathrow. Atlanta is busiest in Americas

Any source? Heathrow only grew in 2014 passengers numbers by about 1-2%. So it's unlikely it's overtaken Atlanta and Beijing.

easily googled

O'Hare has overtaken Atlanta in terms of the number of "flight operations."

Atlanta is expected to retain it's #1 spot in terms of the number of passengers.

I can't stand that whenever I see mention made of Aruba, I immediately think of that vile, low-life, scum-sucking waste of oxygen, Urine van der Sloot. It is sad that he is still drawing breath.

Dangle him over a wood-chipper and tell him he has 10 seconds to tell where Natalee Holloway's body is. If he doesn't talk, let Mr. and Mrs. Holloway lower him in at whatever speed they'd like, feet first. And if he DOES talk, then just put one right between his eyes.

There is a section on this site with quizzes in other languages such as German, French and Spanish which have very few questions about the US. I have taken a few (just to test my recollection of how to spell in those languages) and recommend them to all of those who are upset about the US-Centric quizzes on the site. With that cabal busy elsewhere, those of us who do enjoy the US-Centric quizzes will be free to take them in peace!
