Nice quiz. However, I don't see the point in giving away the last name of the Nobel Prize Winner and only guess his first name... Takes away all the challenge!!!

Yeah Gabriela Mistral 26 years earlier was left out, at least they could ask for surname here.

I am familiar with the works of Pablo Neruda

In this case I kind of agree, especially with a common first name like that, giving the first name and asking for his last name would be fairer.

No clue is needed if you've ever seen the Italian movie Il Postino.

Neruda is also well-known enough that his last name should not be given away. Anyone who's ever studied or read poetry or South American literature with any measure of depth should know him.

Have to agree with that. Most these country quizes have very hard questions, and the clue to one that could be difficult here is the answer itself...

It should accept local names for the geographic points: Isla de Pascua and Estrecho de Magallanes.

This is a really good quiz except the flag question! It doesn't require any knowledge about Chile; how about asking for the colours on Chile's flag, or what object is on it?

I agree, knowing the Texas flag really shouldn't count as knowledge on Chile

Please accept 'Active Volcano' as well, because that is the specific answer.

Is there a non-active volcano that is higher? If not, then it doesn't really matter.

Well, the crater lake on Ojos del Salado is also technically the highest lake in the world, so that mountain holds more than one record.

I'm disappointed that the conflict between Bolivia and Chile was not the War of the Llamas. Only one I missed, never heard of it....

Nice Quizz ! Would be cool if Magallanes was an acceptable answer as it is the name used in Chile (it gave me a hard time!)

The southernmost point of Chile is Águila Islet in the Diego Ramirez Islands at 56°32'16"S. Cape Horn is at 55°58'48"S. So while Cape Horn is close and more famous, it is not in fact the southernmost point. Águila Islet lies about 108 km southwest of Cape Horn.
