Also accept Cuzco? Also, Fortaleza is spelt wrong.

"Cuzco" will work now, and Fortaleza is now spelled correctly.

Again, congratulations! Quite easy if you know South American cities (mainly because I was just guessing)

The Olympics in Brazil will boost the scores of some of these cities on the quiz :)

During the UK/Argentina conflict of 1982, Stanley was frequently referred to as 'Port Stanley'. Could you accept this as as a correct answer?

I tried Puerto Argentino out of curiosity. It did not work.

Very nice quiz but you could add more cities to the map! Several enormous brazilian cities are missing, such as Belo Horizonte, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Recife and some capitals such as Montevideo and Assuncion.

Yes, I was very frustrated seeing so many Brazil cities remaining and one after another wouldn't work: Recife, Manaus, Belo H, as well as Asuncion.

I'll save those for the sequel ;)

Surprised to see Port Stanley here and suspect Jiaozira may be having a little political fun with us. Although geographically close, and part of the South American plate, PS is a British Overseas Territory and certainly not South American.

By the same token, the quiz might as well have included cities in Trinidad or Barbados which are much closer to South America than the Falkland Islands.

The UK is not a South American country. But Stanley is a South American city. Similarly, Greenland is owned by Denmark, but it's part of North America.

Geography is fun and confusing. Hooray!

Pretty sure this is no different from having Cayenne on here. France is definitely not a South American country either.

argh, missed Sao Luis despite knowing I was looking for a city between Salvador and Sao Paulo!

Puerto Argentino should be accepted. At the very least to honor actual geography. Forget what a senseless war determined. Malvinas are part of the South American Plate. Otherwise nice quiz!

i didn't know that tectonics decided the name of a place and where it belongs to politically? lol

Sao Paulo is in the wrong location. It's not close to the sea.

If you zoom in, you will see that São Paulo is actually inland on the map. It is just hard to see with the scale of this map.

I zoomed in and noticed another problem. Rio is on the wrong side of the bay.

Rio and São Paulo are in the wrong location indeed, São Paulo is inland but not in the correct position, and Rio is in the other side of the bay

The dot for Barranquilla is fairly close to where Cartagena is. Could you accept that?

But it is not Cartagena. This is easier to see if you zoom in, there is a large gap between Barranquilla and where Cartagena would be.

São Luis seems like an odd inclusion (and I'm not just saying that because it was the only one I missed). Most of the others seem to be capitals (Brasilia, Santiago, Buenos Aires), amongst the largest cities in their country (Barranquilla, Sao Paulo) or geographically distinctive (Ushuaia, Port Stanley). São Luis seems like the only city that doesn't fit in this. Brazil's capital is already covered, but there were much larger cities that were excluded (Belo Horizonte or Porto Alegre, for example) and Manaus could have been included (both a larger city, and in a more geographically interesting location).

São Luis is certainly an unusual inclusion on my part, however, especially after looking at the answer statistics, it serves a good spot in making the quiz tricky. I will say that had I made the quiz today, with all the Brazilian cities I've encountered on Jetpunk in the last four years, I probably would have gone with Manaus instead.
