I thought Daegu was the third city in South Korea but it seems to be Incheon now, indeed.

Just a satellite of Seoul.

No it's not. It is an independent metropolitan city that does not exist solely as a suburb of Seoul. It has always been an important port city.

While it's an important city, I wouldn't call it "independent of Seoul". If you look at a map, they are clearly connected, and that's why quizzes that use urban population never have it.

Could you consider accepting Iona along with Ionia.
+7
Level 58

Iona is something completely different (a monastic island in Scotland), not another name for Ionia.

I'd rather they didn't for it was never known as ''Iona'' in any language or any time.

Quizzes like these usually have 20 questions. Why does this one have only 15?

Isfahan isn't a bad one to include. You could also throw in Iloilo. Or how about Islam? Though I guess that conflicts with Islamabad.

I don't think having 20 questions is a hard and fast rule.

If Ionia is round about Izmir, why on Earth is the Ionian Sea the other side of Greece?

Because the Ionian Greeks were sea traders and explorers, and sailed west founding colonies across the Ionian Sea. Meanwhile, the Dorian Greeks who lived in the Peloponese and Epirus tended to stay on the mailand and were much worse seafarers.

Most Ionian colonies where in the east. In Asia Minor and around the Black Sea.

Because Ionia and Ionian have nothing to do with each other. In Greek it's Ιωνία, named after one of the four ancient Greek tribes and Ιόνιο, named after a hero.

Obviously, the answer for "Ancient Greek region in modern-day Turkey" is Pontus. Took me forever to figure out why the quiz wouldn't take that answer.

Pakistan River or Pakistani River, though being an Indian it hurts to see because Indus passes through India as welll

Maybe change the Inner Mongolia question? Saying "Chinese part of Mongolia" makes it sound like the answer is some region of Mongolia that is mostly Chinese.
