I'm not the most knowledgable person when it comes to CBB - but why does the East have no play-in games while the Midwest has two play-in games?

That is a great question that I unfortunately do not know the answer to.

Since the play-in games are in Dayton, the NCAA doesn't like having those teams have to fly long distances. The #10 seed in the east is playing in Omaha, which is not a short flight from Dayton.

Wagner was put in the playin game, but because they are from NYC, the NCAA didn't want to then send them to Brooklyn if they won (that would be an unfair advantage to the #16 seed).

I guess with where the other #10 games are (Salt Lake and Indianapolis), Charlotte made the most sense since the winner of Boise State and Colorado goes to Indianapolis.

The play-ins are just the last four at-large teams and the last four autobids. They get put in the bracket wherever they fit best, regions aren't really relevant

March Madness must be a statisticians dream (or nightmare). Either way, I've got Creighton beating UNC in the finals for most of my brackets. Hoping for a good tournament this year!

Not too hard considering I have my own quiz on March Madness, the best time of the year.
