Beautiful semi-tropical lakeside town in the Annapurnas. (A chain of the Himalayas.) Do a google image search and you'll want to go there. It's a major tourist destination -- internationally, domestically and regionally.

It is sometimes considered part of South Asia because of cultural reasons, as well as shared heritage with Bhutan and Nepal. But the great thing about defining regions like South Asia is that there is a great level of subjectivity! :)
