Judging by this quiz: http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/82711/countries-with-more-sheep-than-people

New Zealand is joined by Australia, Uruguay and Mongolia in that regard.

I know this was a year ago, but I'm not really sure why this "aged poorly". Could someone explain?

Really, I want to know too. Russian soldiers portrayed for propaganda as Orcs? Really wild guess.

Mongolia has more sheep, cows AND goats than people, with horses not far behind.

Uruguay, Australia and New Zealand have "just" more sheep and cows :)

New Zealand also has the highest cat ownership in the world (per capita). We like our sheep, cows and cats!

I think it's just small colonial populations came into possession of extensive land and started clearing it for cattle grazing.

Not surprised the African ones are the least guessed, there doesn't seem to be much of a pattern there. Chad, South Sudan and CAR are around a similar same area, but then Namibia joins the party 🤷

Fun quiz, thanks!

I think a possible pattern could be countries with low population density that are somewhat large, so they have enough room for ranching to be conducted.

Sigh. Maybe cause those two cases aren't at all analogous? When will you people get it that in some parts of the world America(s) is considered one continent (including north and south) cause, surprise, that's how it was considered originally since the days of Vespucci? Whereas Afro-Eurasia is not a thing, historically speaking.
