Technically it was declared and suspended (not undeclared) to begin the dialogue with Spain. An hour later Spain suspended Catalonia's Parliament and imprison it's leaders until today.

Which region? The only question that asks for a region is the Catalonia question, and Catalonia and Castile are COMPLETELY different things. In fact the Spanish word “castellano” meaning “Castilian” is actually another way of saying “español” or “Spanish”. Catalan and Spanish are not the same
