Random Countries on a Map of Pangea
200 million years ago, almost all the land on Earth belonged to a supercontinent named Pangea. Can you name these 20 modern-day countries shaded in black on the conceptual map below?
You are right: this is why I qualify this map of "conceptual" in instructions. If it's accuracy we are looking for then none of these countries existed 200 millions years ago in particular those on most recent landmasses like tiny island countries.
I really think the Lesser Antilles (excepting maybe Trinidad) should've been excluded from this rotation. They're all moved around, entirely on conjecture! You can't even see their shapes! They probably didn't even exist at the time!
Some country shapes have been rotated, bent, changed in proportion or split to match the Pangea overall shape
Based on this map, with corrections coming from these sources 1; 2; 3; 4; 5.
Also try the more difficult borderless version
Thank you very much for the nomination!
Some countries, like Turkey, are very funny ane interesting to study on this map, I think.
It was already given in the caveat but I think not everyone read them ;)
Thanks!
