I think it's the sting, rather than the bite, of the bullet ant that earns it its name.

Another heresy, ticks are arachnids not insects. That question must be replaced. Also, a mistake that was already done in another quiz, the chrysalis is the nymph, not its cocoon.

It's not just about the legs. I don't really like to nitpick (or tickpick?), but the inaccuracy about insects and the other arthropods really annoys me.

I read the Wikipedia article and it seemed complicated so I just removed the question. I wasn't really sure what your objection was.

I just said that the nymph/chrysalis/pupa is the insect, but the cocoon is only its silky envelope.

Hiya ~ I think you meant the word "thousand" to be plural in the question for compound eye. And I really enjoyed these insect quizzes! I was afraid they'd be too tough, but they were very accessible while still making me stretch my brain a bit and teaching me a coupla new factoids. Thanks!
