How about changing the clue instead? “Second largest island in the English channel” or “Largest of the Channel Islands [that's the name of Jersey's archipelago which the Isle of Wight isn't part of]” come to mind. It's a much more elegant solution because many sources name the Solent as a part of the Channel.

I thought it was a programming language. :) Americans have their "cup of java" in the morning. We have a Java Dave's coffeeshop in our town. I think it originally referred to a specific coffee from the island of Java, but now in the US it is just slang for any coffee.

I have never heard of tea being referred to as Java. In the US, Java, apart from being a programming language as ander217 stated, refers to coffee. At least it always has in my experience.

I knew all the questions except the ones about the 'good ol USA.' I don't know why I bother when in most geography related quizzes a disproportionate amount of questions are devoted to [outside of the US] insignificant geographical locations.
