I wonder what the actual area of the Philippines is: on wikipedia total area is less than land + water and exactly 300,000 km2 is clearly an approximation. what about adding map?

Adding a map would make this quiz too easy.

Agree that adding a map would make the quiz too easy. However, since some of the answers are island nations, It would be helpful to know if the areas given are total area, or are limited to land area.

Land area, I believe. Otherwise, Kiribati would have been to be added between Australia and Mexico (3.5 mio. Sq.km). Oh Glorious Nation of Kiribati!

1. The China Seas are in the Pacific, like how the Bay of Bengal is in the Indian Ocean

2. Even if Australia lies in the Indian Ocean, it still borders the Pacific.

An interesting variant might be: longest coastline on said ocean. Of course then you get into what seas are considered part of the ocean, but it looks like you are being generous if Thailand is included.

Thailand border with two ocean, Western border is Andaman sea ( part of Indian ocean ), Eastern Border is Gulf of Thailand ( part of Pacific ).

Gulf of Thailand is close to South China sea (also part of Pacific ) so Thailand really bordering the Pacific.

I was sitting there thinking about the last one, and with two seconds left I realized what it was but only got it half typed in. Good quiz though, is there a similar one for the atlantic?

Because the only thing separating the two oceans is the inky dinky isthmus of Panama.

OMG I did the entire quiz misunderstanding that it was "size of country" not "coastline on the pacific". No wonder the Phillipines didn't work!
