I'm betting most people think the badger's a skunk.

But it's not like badgers care.

Yeah it kind of looks like the person who drew the chipmunk was obsessed with squirrels. That tail!
+5
Level 76
Feb 3, 2020
I know that, pal, but the image looks definitely more like a squirrel than a chipmunk.
+6
Level 75
Feb 3, 2020
Regardless of what it's supposed to be, that emoji looks like a squirrel. Chipmunks have stripes on their faces and they do not have bushy tails. They barely have any tails at all. Considering that I don't use emojis I'm not sure why I should care, but somebody's got to defend the chipmunk.

kangaroo.... mammal?

Level 45
Feb 3, 2020
Well, they're in the Mammalia class
+4
Level 67
Feb 3, 2020
Yea, they dont lay eggs do they, and breastfeed their kids, they just arent placental mammals. (And yes, I know, monotremes are egglaying mammals)

It conjures up a funny image though, a kangaroo sitting on a nest of eggs, trying to hatch them ha ha

+1

Simply, it has hair or fur. It does not have feathers, does not have scales, and is warm-blooded. If it isn't a mammal, what is it?

Missing from this list as of Unicode 12.1: bison, mammoth, beaver, polar bear, sloth, otter, skunk, dodo, flamingo, seal, beetle, cockroach, fly, worm. Source. I'm not sure where microbe fits in, but that's also missing.

Also, Spider should be before Squid.

I have two questions. Aren't dromedaries like, different from camels, or are dromedaries buffed-down versions of camels? Also, shouldn't the human be included in the quiz, as it has the majority of emojis (I think, haven't counted).
+2
Level 90
May 7, 2021
Dromedary is a type of camel. Dromedaries have one hump and are the most common (like 90% of camels are dromedaries). Bactrian camels have two humps, and there is also a wild bactrian camel.
+1
Level 73
Mar 23, 2024
Also, dromedaries are (mostly) from North Africa and Arabia, whereas Bactrian camels are (mostly) from Central Asia.

While humans are animals, they aren't in the nature section with the other animal emojis (granted, neither is sponge).

Squirrel (Chimpmunk)

Sauropod (Bronco, Broncosaurus)

Cricket (Grasshopper)

Shouldn't that all be accepted as an answer?

Some people may be more familiar with those instead of your acceptive ones.

No hate just saying, great quiz.

May 25, 2021
Sorry dude, but a squirrel isn't the same as a chipmunk.

A brontosaurus is a type of Sauropod. A broncosaurus is only real in The Flintstones. Shame really, because it's a great name for a dinosaur.

Flamingos are most definitely not mammals, but birds. One would think that is obvious. Also, memes on FB (or anywhere else) are most definitely not a reliable source of information. One would also think that to be obvious.

Edit: after submitting, I realized that you must've been joking. At least I hope so.
