Nice quiz. Agree with Sean about Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, and I'd also say that Easter Island belongs more to Oceania than South America.

Aruba and Curaçao are also not exactly owned by N.

How so? They aren't independent and no other country owns them.

Depends if you think constituent countries of a kingdom are being owned. They are however an autonoumous country (since 2010). I believe only defense is managed by the Netherlands. It governs itselfs and has an independent legal system. You could use the argument that officially the king of the Netherlands is the head of state (as the king of the kingdom of the netherlands) but well the queen of the UK is also the head of state for Australia. So not really a relevant point.

So it is autonomous, but not sovereign because together with 3 other countries part of a kingdom. Whether you see that as owning or not is a matter of semantics. If you regard being part of similar to being owned or not.

It's not that "last name isn't the important". It's that we have 2 last names: paternal and maternal.

Normally, only the paternal is used in everyday speaking, but in this case with this author, his name and paternal last name are rather common, so the maternal last name is used to further differenciate.

Now, this works with Spanish-speaking people, but not with Portuguese-speaking names, who put the paternal last name at the end, and also can have up to 4 last names (!)
