You'd think it'd be easier to recognise Manhattan there. Only 40% at the moment and I wasn't one of them.

Maybe the other 60% guessed New Jersey, which is also showing in that image.

Let's see. 10% of the image is New Jersey and 90% is New York. What should I type? I know - I'll type New Jersey! What, that didn't work? Hmmm.... Should I type New York? Nah. I'll just give up.

Shouldn't the Nevada one also take Arizona, as the Colorado river is the border and half of the shot is Arizona

+1. Unlike the NY/NJ example above, this AZ/NV one really is a 50-50 split.

Anyone else notice how beautiful the Big Island looks from space? Hawaii should be called the Jewel of the Pacific.

I find it funny how the Jewel of the Pacific has already been given to, among others, Kauai (another Hawaiian island), San Diego and Valpariso, Chile.

I got them all, the hardest for me was Texas / Houston. I would LOVE to see a lot more of these!

For what its worth, there is about the same proportion of Delaware visible in the New Jersey image as there is New Jersey.

There's really not, though, unless it's a different image now. Everything east of the water on the left is New Jersey, and what's west of the water is split between Delaware and Pennsylvania.

I mean, I originally thought Connecticut, but eventually guessed Rhode Island. It’s definitely a shocker that it is least guessed out of all of them though.

I feel this test would be so much harder if we didn't stick to the North=up convention (I'm glad we do).

@Quizmaster -- would it be possible to use one of these as a thumbnail image for a user created quiz? The image showing the Channel Islands is much nicer than the one I could find on Wikimedia commons.
