Nah, too easy. Signed, Word Nerd

Tend to agree - another word nerd here but did get it all right first time so I'd say not too hard.

Just right I'd say. Got them all but had to use a bit of elimination to be confident, which is perfect for this format. More please! :)

Not too hard. I enjoyed it. Would make a fun series!

Perfect mix, IMO. Pleased to have gotten Octothorpe, but had to leave Rubenesque to the end to get it.

People don't need easy quizzes all the time.

Pretty easy; cut the time maybe? But an enjoyable quiz nonetheless

Process of elimination made it pretty easy, honestly. Only one I didn’t know was hoary but got it from knowing everything else.

At first i thought it was going to be, but i kept skipping until i knew some 100% then started whittling them down until i was down to 4 that i wasn't sure of. Ended up getting those right as well. 20/20

Octothorpe was the only word I didn't immediately recognize and know, but it was very easy to intuit.

Definitely not too hard. Wasn't super easy, either, but easy enough to get 100% without much effort if you know most of the answers because you can pick off the ones you don't know through process of elimination.

Non-native speaker here and I got 14/20 first try. I am still a nerd though.

Nah just right, I hadn't heard of two (that I can recall, sometimes I hear of words, but years later I might have forgotten them if I never come across them more than that single time) and I am not a native english speaker.

The ones that were new to me were rube and hoary. ( though I have a vague recollection about a weird name for white, but the word itself does not clearly ring a bell. I think maybe it was that what was black in one language, was white in the other or something)

Ow yea and just learned blotto from another quiz today, didnt know that one either. Ow and octothorpe was new. So actually 4 words I had not heard of before, really.

Good selection. The symbol is a hash, though. A hashtag is a tag preceded by a hash - hence hashtag.

I got more than I initially expected when the quiz started with blunderbuss. In the end, I only missed three. I'm totally fine with that, especially considering that English is not my mother tongue.

Felt like there was a lot of extra time. I doubled back to about 2-3 words to finish from a shorter list and still had 2 minutes to spare.

Fops and Dandies were not synonymous: they were two distinct sets. Fops wore flamboyant costumes in breeches and Dandies dressed suavely in trousers.

Historically, perhaps, but I think when used as descriptive terms they are largely interchangeable.

Hashtag is still incorrect. It should be hash - the name for the symbol. Hashtag is a hash followed by an HTML link.

Not too hard. Sometimes its nice to have a quiz that prompts you to look something up at the end because you've never heard of it before.

I always thought it was "teatotaler" with an "a" as the third letter, i.e. someone who only drank tea. Never too old to learn something new.

Haha that is a funny interpretation :) made me smile, never thought of that.

I think I used to think it was t-totaler, without know what the t would stand for.

Ow I looked it up and it seems that it might have been t-total once

I knew hoary from reading the back of a Yukon Jack bottle, and I still got it wrong because I accidentally clicked the wrong thing.
