Random Europe Capitals Mystery Route
Trace the mystery route passing through 12 European capitals on a blank map.
A mystery route will be randomly chosen from 25 different routes every time you play!
At each capital found, the next portion of the route is revealed
Rome and Vatican City appear as a single dot to avoid confusion
It took a fair few tries, but I eventually finished with less than a second to spare! (I was so close, even, that I didn’t even know I’d actually succeeded until *after* my score was revealed!)
Lots of fun, but we work fast. I wrote in Beograd twice all frustrated like. Methinks those of us who have a solid acceptable alternative and often naturally call the cities which we visit by the name that the locals use, need not be forced into our auto translation modus. It breaks the inspiration.
I call Napoli Napoli and Genova Genova. I also call København Køben, but recognise that that is a bit much. Lisboa is so close as to not be an issue. But Beograd or Praha!
This might be a controversial take, but I think it would be better to remove Vatican City from the map. Even though it wouldn't be the complete set of European capitals, it would avoid the confusion with Rome.
I don't see any controversy there: removing Vatican City seems eminently fair. (In other words, I made the wrong choice, and am mildly peeved about it.)
This would be really fun if there could be a little bit more time. It takes me much time to write capitals like "Ljubljana" or "Liechtenstein". But still pretty fun quiz :)
Another good idea ruined by a ridiculous expectation of time. We don't all retain perfect vision, reactions and typing skills. i know I can turn off the timer but where is the fun in that?
The first shown capital was Luxembourg. After getting that one right, the map did not change, i.e. no route was shown. Only Luxembourg was still indicated. In the end, I tried Brussels just to try something. Brussels was accepted and then a black line appeared, indicating the third capital, Dublin, and so on. Is this how it's supposed to work?
It's not exactly that. The first capital of the route is marked by an arrow. Name it to discover the next capital of the route, and so on.
In your case, perhaps you inadvertently pressed an arrow on your keyboard, thus shifting the yellow answer box. This can make you lose track of the answers to give.
Hope you like it ;)
