The Nobel Prize started from Sweden and the name Nobel comes from a Swedish inventor's name. Only the Nobel Peace Prize is given in Norway. Prizes in all the other 6 categories are given in Sweden. So it's more related to Sweden than Norway.

Yeah. It annoys me that everyone seems to think that all of the Nobel Prizes are handed out in Norway.

@celticcougar56: No he wasn't. Alfred Nobel was Swedish.

On the other hand, there are people like me who thought that all the prizes were given out in Sweden. But I knew Norway immediately from the first clue. Even though there are fjords in other places, they always seem to be associated with Norway.

I like this quiz and all the debates. I was about to tell that I feel ofended by "Chopin" for Poland when he became famous because of France (same for Marie Curie who have been proposed by someone). I would prefer Leon Shiller. For us is the same debate than Oscar Wilde for Ireland and uk... However it doen't really matter and for the Aushwitz topic you can replace with Schindler factory or Kaczyński brothers. And thanks again for this funny quiz!

Maria Skłodowska-Curie was polish

Fryderyk Chopin was polish too, Chopin has french second name because of his father and Skłodowska because of her french husband Pierre, so why the ... you feel offended? They were 100% polish but they moved to France, that doesn't make them french anyway. Messi is famous because of Spain, but is he spanish? ;)

I have no issue with Auschwitz being a clue ( we cannot change history by erasing it), but agree that Oskar Schindler would also be an excellent clue.

@ander217: I'm not crazy about the Ljubljana clue - as it reduces the clue to "name the biggest/most famous city in..." There are plenty other quizzes for that.

Perhaps the clue could include a famous Slovenian - Melania Trump would be a good example (regardless of what one thinks about her, or her husband).

Quizmaster: As many others have already stated, the 'Nobel Prize' in Norway should at least be specified as 'Nobel Peace Prize', as the other FOUR Nobel Prize ceremonys are held in Stockholm and Alfred Nobel was swedish. The Nobel Peace Prize is an exception that was made for a political reason. The current description is incorrect.

I think Chopin was a better clue than Copernicus. Copernicus lived hundreds of years before Poland or Germany were established. He would be more accurately described as Prussian than either Polish or German. Lech Wałęsa would be a better clue. Pope John Paul II would also be a good clue.

I think clues for Slovenia must be changed. It seems the country was added to complete the list but lack of interest.

Giving the capital Ljubljana as one of the clue gives the impression that there is nothing else to say about this country.

Also I would definitely think about Switzerland, Italy, France and Austria way before Slovenia for "Alps". Only 4% of the Alps are located in Slovenia.

I read someone mentioning Melania Trump in the comments, why not?
