Bee Gees lead singer with brothers Robin and Maurice. Arguably, the biggest disco group ever. Saturday Night Fever ring a bell.

I can't believe Dick Clark only has 41%. He's so iconic in music that the New Year's Eve Time Square show is stilled called Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve.

Not that I had trouble with Kate Hudson's mother, but the first thing I said to myself was she probably belongs to the 60s or the 80s. She wasn't nearly as visible in the 70s. Didn't realize that Laugh In lasted that far into the 70s and completely forgot about the Chevy Chase movies and Sugarland Express.

Killer Queen, 1974

Somebody to Love, 1976

We Will Rock You, 1977

We Are the Champions, 1977

Bicycle Race, 1978

Fat-Bottomed Girls, 1978

Don't Stop Me Now, 1978

It's sad, but many people only remember him during a later time when he was diagnosed with AIDS and it became public knowledge that he was gay. Any true Queen fan would understand why he would be considered a 70s icon.

Swicheryz, I agree, Freddie deserves to be on this list more than Bowie. No offense to David Bowie fans, but the guy was a horrible singer. I never could understand the appeal.

I'm surprised he's that high. He died in 1980 at 50 years old, so unlike many others on the list, there's no ongoing legacy to keep him in people's memories. Also, although it's a 70's quiz, much of his most highly regarded work was from the 60's. Finally, it's not a great picture of him.
