Love how the Mongolian flag is achieved. Almost a little hint there.

Oh... It wasn't intentional, even I didn't thought it was making Mongolian Flag!

Nice Coincidence!

I've changed the colour codes to match Mongolian Flag codes. It is a hint now! ^_^

The instruction "completely surrounded" (you wrote "completED surrounded", by the way) is perfectly clear. Anyway, the title "sandwiched" first made me think of USA and later Uruguay, wondering, why it didn't work. My own fault. Great Quiz idea!

USA and Uruguay don't count, since those countries have sea or ocean access, so they are not COMPLETELY surrounded by the other two countries.

Actually whether Moldova is by the sea is quite a dispute. You zoom in the map and a tiny bit of the southern part actually get in touch with the Danube

Yup, I am 100% aware of that Moldova touches Danube, but hey! Danube is a river, not sea or ocean!

What a weird logic. "It touches a river, therefore it is arguable if it touches the sea."

Might be helpful to include in the directions that all these countries are landlocked. Great quiz.

Agree - great quiz idea. The term "completely surrounded" does carry the idea, but I spent the first sixty seconds confused why I wasn't getting Panama, USA, Belize, etc. I think an extra note specifying "not by water" would help make it just that much more understandable.

I was still Hungary after I finished my Turkey sandwich. Maybe I should put a bit of Greece on it. Well, actually, now I want some Chile.

How many of us disobeyed the caveats and immediately put in the surrounding countries first, and then the sandwiched countries?

What caveats? Did these caveats (if they exist) tell you not to do that? However, the instructions tell you not do that.

But a sandwich isn't closed around the edges, it's much more like the Canada-USA-Mexico scenario...

It's just a little bit of a shame that the rules for the quiz have to rule it out.

I found it pretty irritating that countries that have coasts are not included. Of course there would be way more, but I had a couple of ideas, like El Salvador being sandwiched between Guatemala and Honduras, North Korea being sandwiched between China and South Korea or Guinea Bissau being sandwiched between Guinea and Senegal. Maybe it would be helpful to add to the description that the countries have to be landlocked.
