Yep, that defeated me. Tried (creme) flambée and fool, but would never have thought of flan, that's something quite different.

The Fibonacci spiral is a mathematically distinct thing to the fractal shown, which is part of the Mandelbrot set.
+3
Level 67

what does fibonacci have to do with fractals... Fibonacci has the sequence and golden ratio.

A fractal is self repeating, it is made up of smaller portion of itself, to infinity.

The golden ratio can keep continuing, though if you cut out a small piece it does not resemble the whole thing. That is the best way I can explain it.

No need to be insulting. Merriam-Webster dictionary gives two definitions of (food) flan - one is an open topped pastry with fillings, the other is a custard baked with a caramel glaze. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/flan. Order flan for dessert at any Mexican restaurant in the US - fine dining or otherwise - and the pictured dessert is what you'll get. (It is NOT a brulee, either. I've made both, and brulee is custard topped with sugar after cooking and then broiled or torched to form a hard crust. Flan - you might know it as creme caramel - is custard baked in caramel sauce and then turned upside-down after cooking and sometimes topped with whipped cream or fruit.) I think creme caramel should be accepted as an answer, but not brulee or bavarois.

Is this one of those "soccer" and "football" things? It is so weird reading the comments of all of these people so indignant about what flan is and isn't. And, clearly, to me it is flan. I feel like I'm experiencing that whole yanny/laurel thing again.

Definitely not a crème brûlée. Crème brûlée can't hold on it's own, has to be in a small bowl. And it has a burnt sugar crust on top op it. You know, burnt, as in brûlée... #TeamFlan

I am 9 years old, and everyone calls me smart. So, if you have a 'fingerprint' then why can't you have 'finger'? Also, in other quizzes like this, like the 'Picture By Letter-C' quiz, you had 'canary', so on this quiz, can't you have 'finch'?

You had a comment like this in a previous quiz. Do you start all your conversations with "I am 9 years old, and everyone calls me smart." It's super annoying and will make people not want to be around you. You can have your own opinion, but please, get some friends, or go outside more.
