Interesting Quiz. I just have one Question, what percent of the Iraqi Americans in Michigan live in Dearborn? Because besides there, i do not know another population center in Michigan like that, and I have never met an Iraqi American in Michigan my entire 12 years living here, versus the large amount of Chinese Americans I have met.

Pretty much the entire Detroit area. One of my friends grew up around there and his high school had a pretty high Chaldean population.

Not surprised at all that Canada is on there for Arizona, it seems to be a favourite holiday destination here. I hear all these stories about it being 15°C in Phoenix during the winter, and the locals being horrified by the Canadians swimming in outdoor pools and walking around in shorts and a T-shirt.

Reminds me of childhood summers. Early summer used to be around that temp. and often cloudy or rainy, but all the kids were out in shorts and possibly a t-shirt... Then there were the tourists from South Europe wearing several jackets, thick long pants, hats, gloves and all that.

I'm surprised Colombia is 3rd in Florida but Canada or Jamaica are in the not top 3. I guess because most Canadians are not here for the whole year.

One country says its included in 2 states in the answer, but it looks like its only included in South Dakota. (the second most populous one in SD).

New England actually has a large Portuguese population. If I remember my field trips to the New Bedford Whaling Museum accurately, it has a lot to do with seafaring, fishing, whaling, etc. as the region was basically the capital of the fishing world for many decades.

The one that I didn't get was Ethiopia for South Dakota. I've met Ethiopians in Chicago, and I know that Washington DC has a large Ethiopian population, but I never would've guessed it for South Dakota (since the other two were Mexico and Guatemala I assumed it would be another Latin American country).

I read an article like 10 years ago about how some of the rural western states were trying out a new sort of homesteading by giving refugees from farming communities free land in order to offset their declining populations. This was before the oil boom, so that program may have been scrapped since, but it would explain why there's an Ethiopian community in South Dakota.

22/23. Somehow missed Somalis in Minnesota even though I JUST saw a meme about Ilhan Omar before taking this quiz. As a side note, what is it with Somalis and moving to the far north of countries/continents? They're also known for being most prominent in Sweden in Europe. Wynaut settle at a warmer latitude, Somalis?
