Big fan of these multiple choice picture quizzes, good work!

Nitpicking, the explanations for #12 and #13 are a little bit awkward. Both could do with a full stop or semi-colon before the word "while".

I picked snake, because i though the head was triangle.

Even then, it would be venomous, not poisonous. Remember, "If you bite it and you die it's poison, but if it bites you and you die, that's venom".

the risk of the former seems a whole lot less than the latter

Not all triangle headed snakes are venomous. Same goes with the notion that round eyed snakes are non-venomous and snakes with slits are venomous. EG - The king cobra has round eyes without slits and it one of the most dangerous and venomous snakes in the world.

Yeah, I was about to put ants, but then I pictured one of those schools of sardines, with over a million of them.

Apparently, the ant population increases by 8% annually, so next year there will be 10,800,000,000,000,000 ants. My foot's getting a lot of exercises stepping on them!

While water only makes up 71% of the Earth's surface, the sea is three-dimensional, while the habitable space on land is virtually flat. Because of this, the oceans make up 99% of the habitable space on this planet, and an estimated 50-80% of all life on earth is found under the ocean surface. While the definition of "fish" is not well defined, the number of creatures that meet some expert's definition of "fish" would be enormous, and only a poor estimate. The habitable volume of the ocean is so huge that barely a fraction of ocean creatures have been discovered, whereas most of the world's land creatures have been catalogued (and will soon be extinct).

I'm sure that the top several meters of soil to an ant seems both three dimensional and quite spacious. I'm also sure that there are still many ants never catalogued. Though they're quite hardy so they might not go extinct even with the rapid destruction of their habitats.

Nice quiz--now I know the difference between venomous and poisonous.

The first question should be "Which of these IS flightless." You use the singular in each of the following questions.

Adult dragonflies can live from a week to two months. Flies about one month. But flies go from larvae to adult in just a couple of days, while dragonflies can be in their larvae (nymph) stage for up to 5 years.
