You actually hear Ho Chi Minh more now, especially among travelers. In Vietnam, Saigon refers only to the center while HCMC is for the modern metropolis.

After guessing about 10 that I actually knew, I got around 10 more just by guessing random cities. Maybe this should be a yellow box quiz?

Level 73
Jun 1, 2018
Yeah, same here. I still didn't get 100%, but I got all but three. That was part of the fun though...usually I think quizzes have too much time but in this case I enjoyed trying to guess which major cities might be on the quiz.
+3
Level 66
Jun 20, 2019
Some I knew, some I figured out by letter, but I admit a few I only got by guessing big cities. A yellow box could an option. Though I am actually fine with it the way it is.

I'm curious - why does that make you smile? Are they nice places to visit, or just good airports?

Great quiz! This gives me a good idea as well to make a version with real icao codes instead! Should be easier because icao codes also sort of give away the country so will have to compensate with either harder locations or more airports

Very surprised Atlanta wasn't on the list. Anyway, I did rather lousy. I only got most of my answers by guessing major cities that had international airports. I'm too poor to travel internationally (or like, at all). :P

It is weird how the mind works, sometimes all knowledge is accessible and sometimes it locks up. Like only 42% got perth...

If you would have asked which city starts with Per... I think 90+% would ve gotten it ( on this site, not on the street). It is like almost totally written already.
