Since you're looking for "restaurant" in French, you should accept "le restaurant". I tried that and it didn't work so I almost gave up.

No, what you say is an american cliché. Of course, the french language is such that nouns are always preceeded by a determiner, but it can be "un", "ce", "au", etc. The article is absolutely not part of the word.

Could you clarify that the longest river is the longest river (entirely) in France? Otherwise, there are those of us who'd argue the Rhine, which flows through France is longer.

The Rhine in its entirety is longer than the Loire, but the section of the Rhine in France is not longer than the Loire in France.

It's truly ironic that for a site that routinely chops off the last letter(s) of words (e.g. Riyadh), you insist that we type the "s" in "Medecins Sans Frontieres".

I had trouble with that, knew the answer but couldn't get it recognised. I'd like Medicine without Borders to be accepted too as some people know the answer but not French.

It's not Medicines without Borders, it's Doctors without Borders. Without the 's' it would be Doctor without Borders which is obviously incorrect.

Red Bull races with a Honda engine now. McLaren switched from Honda to the answer, so the clue still works with a different team.
