Perhaps you could specify the "original" Ocean's Eleven. All I could think of was George Clooney. Never even considered the 1960 version!

If George Clooney was famous as a singer and also starred in Guys and Dolls then you might have a point.

I got stuck on that, too.

The film came out in 1955. Clooney wasn't born until 1961.

Why don't they just tell you to put Sinatra...that would even make it easier.

Clooney isnt a singer or in anything called guys and dolls (as far as I know, who knows a school production or something, but highly unlikely otherwise we would have read about it)

I put Sinatra for Ocean's Eleven thinking he did a cameo in the retake. Odds are not likely that it's possible though;

A few more for #2: Mick Jagger (Ned Kelly), Al Jolson (Jazz Singer), Neil Diamond (the re-make), anyone from The Blues Brothers, Kris Kristofferson, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Bing Crosby, Cliff Richard, Michael Hutchence (Dogs in Space?), Madonna (even though most of her movies were horrible)

To confuse some people what about Harry Connick Jr - also in Independence Day. You can add Memphis Belle to separate him from Will Smith

At what point do you cease to be a musician and become ONLY an actor? I'm thinking Wahlberg is DEFINATELY no longer considered a musician. And the same argument can be made for Will Smith, Ice Cube, and Queen Latifah.

You don't have to hand in your musician card when you pick up your actor card. they can be both, and the people you mentioned built their careers and fame around music before getting into acting. We probably wouldn't know who they were if they weren't musicians

True, but if they don't do music anymore, I think it's fair to say they aren't really musicians anymore.

Streisand would definitely rather be thought of as an actress who also sang... even though she was much more famous as a singer. Some of these others you make a good point about. Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch was a long time ago.

It's been 9 years since i took this quiz last time and I came down to the comments to type the same thing. Calling Mark Wahlberg a musician at this point is like calling Bruce Willis a musician.

Quizmaster, don't listen to all this ridiculous criticism. These are quizzes. They're supposed to be challenging. That's the point. Some people didn't think of the original Ocean's Eleven, and that's you're fault? Please... Also, I love that you put Mark Wahlberg in there. It stumped me for a bit, and then it finally clicked. Just because people don't think of him as a musician anymore doesn't mean you're wrong. People on this site act as if a Quizmaster's job is to make the tests as easy as possible.

Thanks for this quiz, it was just the right level of difficulty for me to make it fun and challenging. Ignore most of the complaints; I would say that all of the answers could reasonably be considered singers and/or musicians as well as actors/actresses in the films listed. This was well planned. Thanks

I knew that George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Bernie Mac, Elliot Gould, Scott Caan, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, Eddie Jemison, Shaobo Qin and Carl Reiner, Never stared in Guys and Dolls. This site is meant to challenge you not be like. What color is the red fire truck. But you would still get people that would say "Could you accept Yellow since I have seen a yellow fire truck?". If you don't know something that is ok. That is how the human race as a whole learns. [off the soap box]

How on earth did Tom Waits not make the list? He was in Wristcutters: A Love Story, Seven Psychopaths, Dracula, Coffee and Cigarettes, and about a dozen more. He's the first person I think of when I think of musicians in movies.

Quizmaster: A couple of questions regarding comments. If someone posts a comment which receives responses, then later deletes the original comment, are the responses also deleted? Also, if someone gets kicked off the site (does that even happen?) would all of their comments and user quizzes (even featured ones) also be removed? One more question: What happens if you wake up tomorrow morning and decide this is no longer any fun, I quit. Will the site just disappear or do you have an heir apparent? Just wondering....
