Okay good. High-school-age me would've been very mad at me if I didn't get 100% on this quiz. Although he might've forgiven me for missing the J.J. Abrams one, since he had no idea who that is.

I would literally ask "Star Wars or Star Trek?" and the correct answer would be Star Trek ;)

Didn't do too bad considering I have only watched the original Star Trek TV series, and only the first 1977 Star Wars film.

I thought about watching the myriad of Star Wars films but there are that many now and in such a convoluted order I can't really be bothered.

If you want to watch the movies and haven't seen them before, just watch them in the order in which they were released. The internet arguments about viewing order are really more for superfans who want to split hairs, not for someone watching for the first time.

"Or" questions:

Which franchise has more live action television series?

Which franchise has more live action theatrical releases?

That would be a tough one! I think Star Trek is still ahead on the live action series front for now,

They’re both pretty close in terms of movies though. Star Wars has the main 9 episodes plus Rogue One and Solo, so that’s 11 (12 if you count the animated Clone Wars movie). Star Trek has 6 movies with the original cast, 4 with the Next Generation cast, and 3 more with the reboot cast, which totals to 13. So Star Trek beats Star Wars in number of movies but only by 1 which is pretty crazy.

I'd slightly modify one of the questions, saying "The franchise went to waste after hiring J.J. Abrams"

Had to think for a second about the people from the planet Earth question - most Star Wars characters do bear a striking resemblance to us.

"Natalie Portman has acted in ONE of the movies" - Star Wars.

She acted in more than one Star Wars movie..

Along with the rest of his "family," like Lore, Lal, B-4, and Juliana. And then there are the less-sophisticated androids of TOS episodes like "I, Mudd" and "What Are Little Girls Made Of?"

I took wild guess on Portman, thought maybe she was in a random episode when a kid or something, thinking possibly a tricky question. So I got them all right but that one, but obviously I was fully aware of her in Star Wars.

They call it "light speed" in Star Wars. I stand by faster than light being only in ST.

From Wikipedia: "The hyperdrive allows Star Wars spaceships to travel between stars by transporting them into another dimension, known as hyperspace, in which objects with mass are capable of traveling faster than the speed of light."

It's a matter of taste, of course, and I also enjoy Star Wars - but I find Star Trek to be far more intelligent and thought-provoking than the other one. I also plainly enjoyed it more.
