For some reason, I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.

Perhaps. But I, for one, can attest that I would expect the Spanish Inquisition far more than a Spanish Inquistion.

Also lower deck/class/lip?

But there is no phrase such as "Keep a stiff lower lip."
+5
Level 85

I think you are correct. And "lower lip" doesn't need a phrase. Just needs to be common enough, which it is. For example, "You've got something on your lower lip" or "The child stuck out her lower lip and cried."

Lower lip should be accepted, for sure.

If you think of "lower" though, I would imagine you're also going to think of "upper" and try them both. No?

Good quiz. The "beer goggles" clue threw me, though. Never heard that term before.

Beer goggles = "every woman looks better when you're drunk."

I never heard of "beer goggles", either. The other one I never heard of was "wet burrito" Huh? Sounds disgusting.

I'm reeling that wet burrito may go hand in hand with the beer goggles.

It's just a burrito with enchilada sauce on it.

What is a Sand dollar? Best fit I could find was "Thunder", but it doesn't fit with dollar either

A sand dollar is a type of shell you can find at the beach- they're flat and round and have a design on them that look like a flower.

Here's a picture of one: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fc/Keyhole_sand_dollar_01.jpg

There must be a better clue for "wet" than burrito? Never heard of that.

A wet burrito is just a smothered burrito- with chile poured over the burrito & it's eaten with a knife & fork. But yeah it's very regional & not that common.

Sand dollars are only found by the sea, so I guess they're regional.

I didn't know wet burrito or pig iron. Not sure where you're from if you don't know over half of these, is it an English speaking country?

We used to have a prime minister known as Pig Iron Bob. But I've never heard of a golden parachute, a sand dollar or a wet burrito.
