Excellent, as always! I've never heard of the Paulo Coelho novel but got the rest. Also, I think if the novel had been called "Freakyman" it would have been even more successful.

I have read the Paolo Coelho book and have it in my possession, but absolutely could not come up with the title. :/

Awesome quiz, as usual. :) I really enjoy the parallel dimension quizzes and I'm very happy to see the book version now. The only one I didn't got was the Melville one. The author sounded awfully familiar, but Megafauna brought me on the absolutely wrong track (dinosaurs and such). I was wracking my brain on famous books talking about the last day(s) of the dinos. :D

I love this quiz so much! Everyone is talking about the hilarious titles, but “Too Keen A Misjudgment” is actually so fitting! Keep up the amazing work!

Ernest Hummingbird ? Never heard him called that before.

That's probably because you don't live in that dimension.

Glad you picked up on that one, single name that was changed.

Can't say that I've ever heard of The Alchemist, but I got everything else.

Top quiz .Really like freaky man and the lord of the flies one.

I imagine "Children at the Candy Firm" is a much more serious film in the alternate universe.

Well it can't be much worse than the original and cannot be worse than the remake.

Took me until almost the last one to realize the initials of the titles matched the original.

Might want to check which dimension you're in, Dr. Strange!

What typo? "Victory Hugo" is definitely the correct way to spell the name of the author of Lowly Malcontents.

the Georgina Orwell book too me so long to get. I don't normally think of that title fully spelled out, and was wracking my brain for an Orwell book aside from that one and Animal Farm XD

I had this same experience. I thought of, and discarded that book a half dozen times before I spelled it out.

I thought it was written by George Orwell not Georgina Orwell?

Brilliant quiz. I think even more people would confuse Freakyman with Freakyman's monster!
+2
Level 84
Jun 22, 2023
I like to think of the monster as a Freakyman too, in the same way that a painting by Monet is a Monet.

In that case, we must also take it as a decent suggestion to leave "Ernest Hummingbird" as is.

Boy, this quiz is almost as good as the April Fools quizzes in terms of comments "correcting" a single item, and ignoring the other nineteen items that are also "wrong."

The 1984 alternative title is written in Newspeak, double-plus-good!

No, you didn't. JetPunk doesn't count punctuation on any quiz. If you'd typed that it would have been accepted.

From an incessant shortcut lover: The Willem Golding one has its acronym as a type-in…

I find it funny that LOTF is an accepted type-in for this quiz when it is strictly the acronym, when is already given to us.

Ha, didn't realise that. It was an auto type-in applied by JetPunk. Have removed it!

You got me looking up 451 Fahrenheit in Celsius. 233 apparently. Maybe paper burns at a much higher temperature in that dimension!
