The fleet of them in Pittsburgh is called the Gateway Clipper Fleet - so Clipper was one of my guesses, which inadvertently got me credit for another clue I didn't know. :-)

Actually yacht means a fast naval vessel used to hunt pirates. So a diesel speedboat like a Navy PT-Boat or PBR is truer to a yacht than a clumsy Bermuda rig.
The word means "hunt". Calling some weekend warrior's blowboat a yacht is an insult to any true pirate hunter.
