World Geography on a Map #2
Below on the world map are 25 random cities, countries, mountains, islands, and deserts. Using the colour codes, name the following geographical places.
For the mountains, name the tallest one in that area
Fantastic quiz!! just hope you can change the color of the islands to a different color because its hard to see compared to ones that you've already gotten correct.
Same. I wonder if there's a reason this mountain is included and not the highest peak in South Africa. I had never heard of Mount Table and it just seems like a random mountain that people find beautiful. When I google it I don't even get pictures of the mountain, so it can't be that famous
Table Mountain is a very famous mountain and I think the reason you didn't get proper results is because you searched "Mount Table" not "Table Mountain".
This needs some editing. Mountains should be stated as actual mountains not ranges. Someone else made that mistake as well as me. Table Mountain isnt there. I couldnt even see where Belize was on the map when I was trying to find where the last country was. Also Mont Blanc should be higher up, it makes it easier to confuse it with other mountains in the area.
I'm sorry but it is very clearly Mountains not ranges. I mean the instructions talk about Mountains and it's a point on the map rather than an area like in the previous quiz. Oh yeah and it says Mountains. Not mountain ranges.
The fact that it said "For mountains, name the tallest one in that area" made me think it meant peaks, not ranges. Also because the little maroon square isn't big enough to cover some of the mountain ranges--it would have to be a colored area, like with the deserts.
for mountains, a lot of the locations cover multiple mountains. For instance, Everest's dot covers Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga, and that's only counting 8000ers. I highly recommend shrinking the label for the mountains to make it more clear what it's referring to.
Great quiz, but of all the colors you can choose from, that blue? I typed black and caspian sea (with and without sea) 5 times esch, then tried azov, which I never know how to type anyway (azov azog, agov, azov, ) then I realised my mistake, and was about to scroll down to see if the category was indeed something else, then time was up.
I could have prevented the mistake by scrolling doen before the quiz, but still, we are so trained to see that color as water. (That even if you see beforehand you need countries, you might still be tempted to see it as water).
On behalf of us dark mode players, please could you change the map background to be white, like in #1 of this series. Otherwise for coastal cities (which all of these are!) we are trying to spot a black dot which is next to a black sea/ocean : so it just blends in with the coastline. A great quiz otherwise!
More of these, please! :)

I didn't expect that I was actually crediting the Aussies with too much imagination...
