I don't do that well on these quizzes, but I've always known that one. When Alaska became a state, much talk was made that Texas was no longer the largest state in the US.

Well, we in California lost the tallest (highest?) mountain. Mt. Whitney lost its glory.

And if you can spell the presidents' names, McKinley isn't hard.

Birmingham sounds more related to Brigham Young than Salt lake city
+5
Level 75
Jul 21, 2018
Birmingham comes from an Old English word, no connection to Brigham Young whose settlement was named because the valley is adjacent to the Great Salt Lake. No Birmingham there, but there is a Brigham City in Utah. I know because I once stopped at a roadside stand in Salt Lake City to buy some cherries. I asked the woman if they were grown locally and she seemingly shot fire from her eyes at me as she pointed to a sign and shouted, "These are Brigham City bings!!!" Apparently that is a renowned fruit-growing region in Utah and I was a low-life for not realizing the significance of the Brigham City signs plastered all over the stand. Have to admit though, they were really good cherries, and it has now become a family joke. Every time I buy dark cherries (which I love) someone in the family invariably asks me if they are Brigham City bings.

When you begin writing "Westminster," it automatically detects "West" as a type-in for "Key West," so you're basically getting a free answer. I think you might want to change that!
