Complete tangent--In the results, the following are listed:

Bangladesh, Cambodia and Laos

Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Sao Tome and Principe

Best argument for an Oxford comma I've seen in a while. Or I suppose another 'and' would do the trick.

I am against the use of the Oxford comma in most circumstances, but in the case of 'Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and Sao Tome and Principe', I would include an Oxford comma.

And now I know what an Oxford (or serial) comma is. Thanks. Never knew there was a term for that usage of a comma.

How in the world is the UAE the Maldives biggest trading partner!?! Can someone please explain how it isn't India?

Jul 26, 2019
Well, it's quite simple - the Maldives imports more goods and services from UAE than from India
+3

To elaborate, it might have something to do with the Maldives and UAE both being Islamic countries whereas India is Hindi. That's just conjecture though

A bit surprised that Gambia's answer isn't Senegal. But they're situated at that river so maybe it's more common to import things by ship there than by road? Anyway, I got it by guessing in the end.

I love these sorts of quizzes. They're not just guessing, you have to really think about not just geographical proximity, like most answers, but cultural proximity (like Cape Verde and Portugal). Then you have utterly bizarre relations, like Guyana and Singapore. I only got that because I typed in Singapore as a possible answer for Brunei

Does anyone understand Guyana-Singapore?

Guyana: English speaking, size of Idaho, 750k pop, 2020- Guyana recorded 43.5 percent GDP growth fueled by oil and gas development. Non-oil GDP contracted by 7.3 percent. Guyana’s chief imports are fuels and lubricants, equipment, and cement. Guyana’s major exports includes gold, rice and paddy, fish, timber, and sugar. Oil will become one of Guyana’s primary exports in 2021

... I guess, Guyana is small, can grow its own food, and is mostly focused on buying industrial machinery to extract more oil?

https://tradingeconomics.com/singapore/exports/guyana

https://oec.world/en/profile/bilateral-country/guy/partner/sgp

and Suriname-Trinidad & Tobago?

I guess T&T sells them excavation machinery, and refined petroleum.

https://oec.world/en/profile/bilateral-country/sur/partner/tto

It's a little sad to see China topping: Ind, Bang, Braz, S Afr, Nig, Uga, Eth, Egy, Jap, SK, US, Aus/NZ, UK, Ger, Tur, Rus, etc... Probably 70 vs 25 China:USA
