I really like this quiz! One quick note though: I was very confused by “Where have all the ______ gone?” There is a song by Pete Seeger (made even more popular by Peter, Paul, and Mary) called “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”, and the last verse contains the repeated “Where have all the soldiers gone?”. I’d argue that it’s waaaay more well-known than the Paula Cole song about cowboys; it’s in the Grammy Hall of Fame, and was covered like eleventy quintillion times.

I agree. If you want to use cowboys, use a song that there is no ambiguity. Some examples, Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys (Willie Nelson), Rhinestone Cowboy (Glenn Campbell), Cowboy (Kid Rock), El Paso (Marty Robbins), Should've Been a Cowboy (Toby Keith).

Never even remotely heard of the song nor of anyone earning a living as a flower.

hahaha. There are several verses. Where have all the flowers gone, then where have all the young girls, then young men, then soldiers, then graveyards, then back to flowers. When will they ever learn?

Can't believe I missed the "captain" one. I'm a massive Hendrix fan and went through the whole song in my head, but somehow blanked on that one word.

Hendrix? Do you mean Henley? The Captain clue is from the Eagles Hotel California.

You may be massive, but you're not much of a Hendrix fan at all.

I think he's actually the world's biggest Otis Redding/Carla Thomas fan judging by his username.

"Tramp , What you call me?, Tramp, You didn't- You don't wear continental clothes or a stetson hat, I'll tell you one doggone thing, it makes me feel good to know one thing. You know, I'm a lover!" And then the funky beat comes in :).
