I got Ahmedabad correct. I watch cricket and the news so it didn't take long to guess it.

I've been to Ahmedabad. I had to sign a declaration that I was an alcoholic before my hotel would serve me a beer. Needless to say, the declaration is framed and on my living room wall.

I find that funny, especially as I come from Ahmedabad, in the state of Gujarat where natives aren't allowed to drink alcohol.

Haha, that's on my bucket list now.

Wow! What a misguided philosophy! The idea that it is more reasonable to sell alcohol to alcoholics than it is to non-alcoholics is surely absurd.
+1
Level 72

With alcohol being verboten and presumably not being readily available, you must at least admire the determination and commitment of someone who manages to become an alcoholic, regardless!

I have family in Ahmedabad and it's one of the best places in India to visit mainly because it is a lot less hectic most times and a lot cleaner than most major Indian cities.

It is naive to think that many people on here don't look up the answers.

And some of them happen to be epic geography nerds who know this list backwards.

Level 67

It is naive to think that there noone at all that has looked up the answers. But it is a whole lot of other things (can't pick, will name a few in a minute) if you think that that is what most people, or even many.

You could call that pessimistic, neagtive, narrowminded, underestimating (what is the opposite of naive..naive is when you wrongly believe everything is great pure honest and innocent, but what if you wrongly believe everbody has ill intentions, everything is rigged, noone can be that smart etc etc, everything s a fake or fraud in your mind)>

Conspiracy theorist? paranoid? I have a tougher time coming up with these words than I thought, even if it is not in my own language, I thought I could describe it better haha.

Cynic, I guess that comes closest :)

Why on earth would you cheat? So you can tell a bunch of people you don't know and will never meet that that you got 100% on a stupid quiz about large cities or whatever? That's idiotic.

this. and why would anyone assume that someone else was posting results for the purpose of bragging and impressing people? Also idiotic.

Amsterdam does indeed only have 800.000 residents, it irks me every time a bit they say A'dam is so big. The Netherlands is just so small with so many residents (relatively) so we're basically one big agglomeration.

Level 82

If you like. Or... you could be totally ignorant of it while at the same time complaining loudly about how bad Americans are at geography because they don't know every county and village of whichever minor country you come from. That seems to work for most people.

But 100% is good. I maintain the US ones are more difficult to get on these quizzes because there are a lot more cities to think of. Imagine if the clues for the European cities said simply "Europe."

+4
Level 75

Good point, Kal. If the clue said Georgia and Texas instead of the US it would be much easier. Same way that Kazakhstan should be easier now than when it was the former USSR.
