"Or, imagine being magically whisked away to... Delaware. Hi, I'm in Delaware..."

I poke fun, just made me think of it ;)

You keep forgetting? It was only Montgomery for a few months. That's like "I keep forgetting they moved the capital from Sitka to Juneau."

The saying "Will it play in Peoria?" is very famous in the world of theatre.

Orville Wright was born in Dayton, but Wilbur Wright was born in Millville, IN.

... but everyone associates the Wrights and their cycle shop with Dayton.

And isn't Wright-Patterson there, too?
+2
Level 44
Oct 4, 2016
Yes, sciencyguy, Wright-Patterson AFB is just outside Dayton, right next door to THE National Museum of the Air Force, which was chosen as the best location because DAYTON is the birthplace of aviation; Kitty Hawk and the entire state of North Carolina contributed NOTHING except for soft sands which would've made crashing less harmful. In other words, it was only chosen because it was a more appropriate place to fail!

HAHA. I read John McCain as John McLane...as in Die Hard. I was trying to figure out what the heck 122 degrees had to do with Die Hard.

How is he associated with Dallas at *all*? He was born in Plano (I know that's NEAR Dallas, but isn't the SAME as Dallas), and has lived inAustin for a very long time.

Hooray for Arkansas! Don't be confused by "mountain" next to Pinnacle, because it's barely a thousand feet. However, it has a tree line and a rocky point like a taller mountain would. It's a really pretty part of Arkansas if you're ever in the area.

Why do you cut us off when writing Salt Lake City, yet demand that we type in "city" for Atlantic City?

Salt Lake City can be called "Salt Lake" but no one calls Atlantic City "Atlantic"

Nice selection! Surprised to have gotten 100%. Didn't know the clues for Boise, but I-84 gave me a rough idea of the latitude and I had just enough time to get through several candidates.
