Got 100% on my 6th try. I'm guessing an excellent typist could do this in 40 seconds.

Did it on my second try! I found it's much easier going in a set order instead of randomly typing whatever President comes to mind (which is what I did the first time).

I thought the UK Prime Ministers quiz was waaaay to UK-centric, and don't get me started on the French Presidents! The UN Secretary General Quiz is better, although there are no Oceanian or North Americans on it so they're clearly not an 'Equal Opportunities' employer! I had better write a stiff letter of complaint!

Thank you, They Might Be Giants, for increasing my score on this. "In 1842, the Democrats were split; the three nominees for the Presidential candidate were Martin Van Buren, a former President and an abolitionist, James Buchanan, a moderate, Lewis Cass, a general and expansionist. From Nashville came a dark horse riding up... he was James K. Polk, Napoleon of the stump."

Finished with 6 seconds to spare my first time through, but in spite of being both a fast typist and a bit of an amateur presidential historian, I can't seem to get it done in fewer than 35 seconds. I have been right on the cusp of getting it done with more than 25 to spare and I feel it is possible to do it, but so far I am stuck with 25 left in spite of many attempts. Hopefully this next time is the one!

i learned them in 7th grade and never forgot them. Of course I've had to keep adding to the list since then. Still it took me a few tries before I could type fast enough to get 100%. Plus, I had to remember not to do the repeats because that would slow me down.

+3

Sep 7, 2019
There's already an identical quiz with a 5 minute time limit. I don't really understand the existence of these 1 minute spring quizzes. You could just take the original quiz and quit when you got to 4 minutes remaining. But if you really really wanted to, it's easy to use the quiz editor to copy an existing quiz and then change the time limit on it. You could make it yourself.
