G is somewhat odd as the rest of the quiz is obviously refering to the British Isles and not to the British Empire. Just said.

Nothing for X?

fear of things beyond the Channel - xenophobia;

element jointly discovered by Scottish and English chemists - Xenon;

Medical procedure invented in Britain - X Ray

and so on...

Xray has nothing to do with geography though. However you could have an answer that strays slightly from starting with an 'x' to one that contains an 'x'. How about 'EXeter'. When you say it, it certainly sounds like it starts with an 'x' and it's a well known enough city in its own right - i.e. it's the county town of Devon.

Thank you. A correct spin, I'd say, since this is UK Geography not British given the inclusion of Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland is not part of Great Britain, but can (emphasis on the word can) be considered British.

Pedant of the year right here. I live in Northern Ireland and hold a british passport. Hopefully that annoys you a bit :)

Shouldn't the answer for D be "ditch"?

Should - unfortunately, he has shown on more than one occasion not to be a man of his word

I just found out that "vicker" is spelled "vicar"! I couldn't figure out why it wasn't being accepted.

No, vicar is spelt 'vicar'.

If you're including NI, which this quiz does, it's the UK not Great Britain. So the quiz should be re-titled UK Geography A-Z.

A bit of a strech, but wouldn't "Outer Hebrides" fit O ?
