Lisbon is not the westernmost point in continental Europe...it's Cabo de Roca...or Sintra.

I thought that too, but looked it up and Cabo de Roca doesn't look like a city to me. But I wasn't able to find demographics for the lighthouse :)

Sintra is part of the metropolitan area of Lisbon. And as redsplat said Cabo da Roca is not a city - it's a cape.

But the question is on which city's Wiki page the sentence 'the westernmost point of continental Europe' shows up. Lisbon is a well-known city only a short distance from there, and so it's by far the most likely answer.

The hint for Kolkata actually made me think that it must be a city in the western parts of India, since I don't know much about Indian states...

Naples, the home of pizza? You are joking, right?

Just for my curiosity, what makes you think so?

Why would it be a joke? I think you can pretty much credit Naples as the home of pizza

I wouldn't call Frankfurt THE major financial centre of the European continent. The question says "European continent" and not "continental Europe", so the answer should be London. It's by far the most important financial hub in Europe.

And even if you mean continental Europe, Frankfurt still gets beaten by Paris (according to the Global Financial Centres Index 2022).

Uyy this again? These clues aren't in Wikipedia so why is this a series?

"Edited Wikipedia entries quiz" = totally meaningless.

OK I'll take a quiz on this stuff, fine.
