This quiz series currently works best on desktop/laptop using a browser other than Safari.

Due to issues with the Safari browser being a big pile of... rubbish... I've had to downgrade the quiz slightly to make sure it runs on all browsers. The level of blurriness used to vary, but Safari couldn't handle this and instead rendered all the images crystal clear, rather defeating the point. So now the blurriness is one level, but it should at least run on whatever you're using. Please let me know if you have any issues, and mention the device and browser.

On mobile/tablet I've had to lose the image movement too unfortunately. Again, this is because of Safari on iPhones where the movement made everything grind to a halt.

Apple. It Just Works.

Maybe consider accepting "Palm Jumeirah" as that's the name of the shown landmark. Maybe also simply "The Palm". I tried both before just writing "Dubai" which was accepted. Palm Islands refer to this and two other palms "under construction" which has been halted due to financial issues :)

I was convinced the Louvre was some kind of feature in the water between two cliffs.

I was too... for a very long time. I was about ready to give up on it until it finally dawned on me. Most of the pictures I've seen of the "pyramid" are taken from the other side.

Perhaps accept Roman "Coliseum"? That was my first guess and I couldn't get the actual spelling despite trying many variations.

Do we absolutely have to include the 'Falls' part of Angel Falls? I tried every major waterfall(s) and couldn't for the life of me understand why none worked. Great stuff, though.

Took me a long time straining to get the Louvre - like many others I thought it was something in the sea at first. Any way I can see the final image of it after the quiz finished? Since it was the last one I didn't get to see it.

Massively creative and brilliant quiz BTW - nominated!

Nice quiz! Maybe accept "Salto Ángel"? I know it's the Spanish name but it's called like that in French too, but not in English strangely. So I missed this answer even though I recognized it :`)

Why do you take city names for some but not for others? Typed Istanbul and Mecca but wasn't accepted for either.

I've removed city names from type-ins. Mecca actually was accepted, but isn't now. Was just giving a little help on a couple of them before it was featured, but you're right it should be more consistent.

Very frustrating! For a couple entries, I recognized what they were but could not find the words you were looking for.

I tried "St Louis Arch", "St. Louis Arch", "Saint Louis Arch", and just "Arch", and none of them worked.

I tried "Dubai Palm", "Dubai Waterfront", "Jebel Ali", and none of them worked.

Overall, this is a nice idea, but please offer more options.

Those would have worked earlier today, but someone complained about the lack of consistency in city names being allowed so I got rid of them. Sorry about that. I've now made it so that anything containing palm or arch is accepted, so the answers you tried will work now.

All of the images look the same. There are two gray structures on the outsides, a green triangular shape on bottom and what looks to be a white structure on the left and water in the middle. I am using Chrome.

Aw man! I typed was typing in a bunch of generic adjectives before "mosque" to try to get the Kaaba (great, grand, etc.). Turns out it is sometimes called the Great Mosque of Mecca (according to wikipedia), dunno if it's a common name, but maybe it should be accepted?
