English and Afrikaans - both easy

Zulu is pretty well known, so also easy

I got Sesotho and Swazi, just because of Lesotho and Swaziland.

I managed Xhosa, because I once met a white South African who could speak some, and I remember how crazy it sounded with all the clicking.

The rest I have never heard of.

I got 9 out of 11. Not really brag worthy though. I am a white south african. I do know all the click sounds though

Great idea for a quiz! I unfortunately only got the 4 most guessed answers, but I was pleased to see that I recognized all but one of the other answers. Doesn't mean I ever would have remembered them on the quiz, but at least I've heard of them.

I listened to South Africa's national anthem before, which has 5 languages (Xhosa, Zulu, Sesotho, Afrikaans, and English). I guessed Swazi when typing in Swaziland. Missed the other 5.

As of May 2023, South African Sign Language is the twelfth official language of the country. Perhaps add this as a caveat?

Can you accept Southern Ndebele for Ndebele? That's how it's listed in the Official Languages of the World quiz.
