Nicely done! I was considering making this one when I got around to it, but this is well made with a good range of easy, and slightly difficult ones :)

What is the point of requiring the entire title of the next-to-last movie when others actually accept abbreviated titles?
+12
Level 68

Because the second-to-last one is not know by simply the first part of its title. Typing in the last part of the title does indeed get accepted though.

I haven't watched any of the spiderman films so I didn't know which one it was, but I recognised the character so I only typed that in and was annoyed it wasn't accepted. 15/16 thanks to that.

Oh well....you've been on here 5+ years and not contributed one quiz. Perhaps you should give a bit back and make your own version of this quiz and you can then decide your rules

luxint - Ask a simple question and get a snide remark back. At least the quizmaker answered the question directly and politely. And you went to the trouble of looking up my history in order to display your childishness. Must be sad to lead such a lonely life.

French2010 - They weren't replying to your comment, dude. It was under JMM's comment, not yours. JMM said they were annoyed even after Stewart's explanation, which elicited luxint's response. Please look a little bit closer before you tell a total stranger that their whole life is "sad and lonely."

With the other ones if you said just the first part people would immediately think of that film, with the second to last film if you said "Spiderman" people would think of one of the live action films, which isn't the screenshot.

Never having seen any of them, I was also wondering that.

Oooo touchy...hahahahha.....it took 1.8secs to see you had never botherfed to contribute. I was always like to check when I see a narky comment on here because 9/10 they are non-contributors.

Really fun!

(too easy for a film nerd like me though!)

Was getting to the end thinking, "Ah, a movie quiz without any superhero references." But no, we are never immune anymore.

However, Spider-verse gets a pass because it is much, much better than most other superhero movies

I haven't seen that one.

I wrote Murder on the Orient Express.

I know it's completely wrong but I was grasping for straws.

I have only recently watched it, and it's incredible! Genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed it! Was very happy to see it, as if this was a week ago, I wouldn't have had any idea!

Best I could come up with was Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. I was pretty sure it was wrong, and I thought it might be Grand ___ Hotel, but so couldn’t get Marigold out of my head. So close, and yet so far. 15/16

What scene is that spiderverse screenshot from? I've seen the movie several times and don't recognize it

It's the original version of the "dive" sequence that was shown in one of the early trailers. It's brighter and easier to see than the "dive" that made it into the movie.

Seems cheesy to not accept "Spiderman".

I really don't care which installment of a 10-part money-grab something comes from anymore.

Like, I have no interest in memorizing the minutiae of which Pirates movie a particular Jack Sparrow scene comes from. I don't think I even care about something like Godfather, or the 90's Batman (and there are only 3 of those).

Film buffs can obviously do what they'd like; I just think the movie should then be omitted from a featured quiz.

I would agree if it were one of the Spider-Man movies played by different the actors (Toby, Andrew or Tom) but Into the Spider-Verse is a different movie all together.

Surprised to see Love Actually so much less guessed than the Spiderman one, which I only knew because of my husband. Speaks to the demographics of the user base, I suppose!

So "Pirates" works for "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl", but not "Spiderman" for "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse". Doesn't seem right to me.
