For anyone curious on why I added the historically accurate lakes? I just felt like it. If you're asking why some lakes like the Salton Sea aren't shown here? Didn't exist yet. If you're asking what the hell that big lake in the middle of California is? It's Tulare Lake. It did exist. It doesn't exist anymore. We miss Tulare Lake. R.I.P. Tulare Lake.

I only got 17, I really should have guessed Sacramento, Tuscon, and San Jose. There was no way in a million years I would have guessed Virginia City XD

Awesome quiz. For the curious, the largest Alaskan city at the time was Sitka with 916 residents, missing the cutoff by quite a bit.

Lowkey glad it did miss the cutoff cause I really didn't want to figure out how to fit Alaska in on this map lol. Same with Hawaii not yet being part of the U.S.

That there's a mighty fine quiz, pardner, but I reckon you've got an extraneous apostrophe in the phrase "its peak."
