Fun! But it says "won't they shouted out with glee".

I always learned it as "As they shouted out with glee" rather than "and." I found it both ways online.

I was stuck on "never". I always heard it as "they wouldn't let poor Rudolph".

I hate this song because it is the opposite of what Christmas is about. Poor Rudolph was ostracized until the other reindeer realized that he could be of use to them. Rudy should have told them to go get bent.

Teddy the Red-Nosed Senator by Bob Rivers has always been one of my favorites for this reason. "Teddy the Red-Nosed Senator had a very shiny car / and if you ever saw it / you were probably near a bar... that's how the police found him / wrapped around a maple tree / Teddy the Red-Nosed Senator / he's a drunken S.O.B."

right. Singing songs to mock the personal tragedies of someone's life because they belong to a different political party than you is so much more in the Christmas spirit.

Exactly Kalbahamut. Some people are so callous and rude. Not to mention being hypocrites.

Totally, heracles. I get them coming to my quizzes and leaving obnoxious comments all the time, accusing me of saying offensive things about others when they're the ones leaving comments with pointed insults directed at one specific user, sometimes blunt and other times lazily shielded. Lame, right?

If someone drinks and drives, they don't deserve sympathy. In some countries, killing someone in a drunken road accident can count as murder even if it was entirely accidental.

you're still making a silly song out of someone's tragic death. That people enjoy singing because they enjoy the meanness of it and it satisfies their partisan dislike of the other. Teddy wasn't the only person in the car. I have no special sympathy for alcoholics or drunk drivers at all.

Maybe I'm not being clear: if you want to criticize Ted Kennedy for getting a woman killed, by all means do it. But if the way you do it is with a smug look on your face singing a happy song... you've just given up the moral high ground.

Doesn't matter which party you vote for. The fact is, he left the scene of an accident, which caused someone's death. The only tragedy involves her and her family, not him.

If he wasn't a prominent Democratic politician nobody would have been writing songs about it. Nor would mean-spirited partisans find the event of a young woman's death, and how it touched any or all people involved, to be so hilarious and cheery and thus great content for a Christmas jingle.

Please direct me to where someone in this comments section is singing a cheery Christmas jingle about how Bush allowed 3,000 Americans to die on 9/11 and I'd have similar things to say to them, too. And it's not the ridicule and disrespect I'm taking some issue with, I just think it's a little weird or inappropriate singing a song with a happy tune about some innocent woman's tragic demise. You can delete the word "Democratic" from my comment if you want to. That wasn't the important point.

chappaquiddick doesn't rhyme with "S.O.B."... and what fun is a Christmas song making light of alcoholism and manslaughter if you can't have some profanity in there as well?

Oy people! Would you lighten up? It's just a fun quiz,,,,and a Christmas quiz at that about a song most of us learned as children. Save the point-counterpoint political nastiness for a different forum, please.

One of the "nosed" items does not connect with the rest of them, which all fill in when you type "nose" - it's the last one in the song.

I straight away thought of the lyrics to the Latin version, which is terribly sad of me. We used to have to sing it at school. "Rudolphus rubrinasus, fulgentissimo naso..."

I hope the 99% on the words already mentioned in the title are because people opened this quiz and forgot about it so the time ran out before they were able to guess anything. Otherwise that would be... embarrassing. :P

Almost couldn’t conjure up “join”; I was so sure that they wouldn’t let him “play” in any reindeer games.
